The project is aimed to design and implement (in the long run) something to a sea plotter software while learning something about Arduino and compatible boards.

The starting point was that while there are some smartphone apps to create a GPX track or to show some information, to use a smartphone on a sailboat is not a good idea unless you have a ruggered one (and even so, on the sea is not that good idea).
I then started to think about buying a commercial sea plotter but the price were too high for the limited use I make of it since I sail on lakes and while it is not a real problem since you don't really need one in these conditions, it could be interesting to track speed, direction and distance, just to the pleasure to know it and being able to know if/when it is time to head back.

What is included

The project contains the Firwmare source code, the circuit schema (designed with Fritzing) and the drawning files for the case I use.

Please note that since the project is currently in development, some things are missing.
